Q1: What’s the purpose of "thankGod"?

A1: It’s a site dedicated to thanking God, where any Christian can submit thanksgivings and have them posted up to encourage and motivate others, and to give God all the glory! If you can’t see why anyone would even want to thank God, see “Purpose” for more info.

Q2: Why is there sometimes 2 thanksgivings each day?

A2: In Psalm 92, David writes:

It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
And Your faithfulness every night.

We decided to let our site reflect this biblical attitude of regular thanksgiving, and so everyday, one new thanksgiving will go up at 6am (sunrise), and another at 6pm (sunset). Something like morning and evening prayers :)

Q3: So can anyone submit thanksgivings?

A3: If you’re a Christian and want to thank God for something in your life, or for anything in this world, you are completely free to submit thanksgivings, and they will be posted up :)

Q4: How do I submit thanksgivings?

A4: You’ve two options for submitting.

a) Click on “Thank” and write your thanksgiving in a form provided.
b) Email your thanksgiving to thankinggod@gmail.com

Q5: What can I submit?

A5: You may write up to a max of roughly 150 words, and/or send a picture which captures what you want to thank God for :) There isn’t any real passing criteria for thanksgivings, but obviously those which are negative or rude in nature will not be posted up. Just thank God sincerely and from your heart, and it will definitely be all good ;)

Q6: Do I have to write my name along with the thanksgiving submitted?

A6: Having a name and email address attached to the thanksgiving will allow us to get back to you to confirm that your thanksgiving was submitted, but otherwise, they aren't compulsory; anonymous thanksgivings are perfectly fine too. You also don’t need to mention specific names in your thanksgivings if you don’t wish to.

Q7: So is that it? No more strings attached?

A7: Yup, that’s really it. There’s no official membership to this site; submitting a thanksgiving is not going to bind you to this site forever. Everyone should feel free to submit as and when they want, although it will be great if you’d like to commit to being a regular ‘thanker’, submitting once a week or a month or something like that.

Q8: I’ve submitted a thanksgiving, why hasn’t it been posted up yet?

A8: One of the aims of this site is to feature one new thanksgiving every morning and evening, and we do have to plan in advance somewhat to make sure we don’t run out of thanksgivings. So we appreciate if you see why submissions will typically not be posted up on the same day they are sent. But we will not keep you waiting more than a few weeks before they are posted up :)

Q9: Can I tell my friends about this site?
